So, the good news is that I *don’t* weigh 250 pounds…

January 1, 2016 By John D. Harvey 1 Comment

The bad news is that my group of friends who have had heart attacks in their mid/late 40s has grown from an exclusive club to a smallish conference. Also, if I’m being honest, I know I’m on the mailing list for said conference. Statistically, it’s a matter of time.

With this in mind, I’ve been trying out a cross-training / kettlebells gym that’s rock-throwing distance from my house. It’s much more expensive than Gold’s Gym, but then again I’ve been a member at Gold’s Gym for years and I’m still a fat guy. Not sure if this is the answer, but I definitely need to change things up.

My weight on January 1, 2016. Very little of it is muscle.

I think at this point in time who cares what things cost, as long as you can afford it. It’s better to pay more for a gym that you go to than to be a part of a gym you don’t go to. Right now it’s about getting those small wins to build momentum.

Great job for stating. That’s the hardest part. I’m looking forward to reading more from you!
